1. Who is running this competition

   This competition is run by This is Gander, known as Gander (the Promoter). You can contact us at hello@thisisgander.co.uk or through the contact page on this website.

2. Who can enter

   The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Gander team members, their immediate families and anyone trading at Gander's Christmas Market cannot enter.

3. How to enter

   Enter by submitting your email address on this page, or through the competition posts on Gander's Instagram and TikTok by following the instructions on the post.

   Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. Each person may enter once through each entry route. Duplicate, automated or fraudulent entries will be removed.

4. Your details

   Entering with your email address also adds you to the Gander mailing list. We will use your details to run the competition, contact the winner and send news about Gander events. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

   Your details are handled in line with our privacy policy and UK data protection law.

5. Closing date

   The competition closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 29 November 2026. Entries received after this time will not be counted.

6. The prize

   The prize is one £40 voucher to spend with one trader of the winner's choice at Gander's Christmas Market, The Square, Shrewsbury, on Saturday 5 or Sunday 6 December 2026.

   There is one winner. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to anyone else or swapped for an alternative prize.

7. Choosing the winner

   The winner will be picked at random from all valid entries after the closing date. We will contact the winner by email, or by direct message if they entered on social media, no later than 5 December 2026.

   If we cannot reach the winner, or they do not reply in time to collect the voucher at the event, Gander may pick another winner.

8. Using the voucher

   The winner must collect the voucher from the Aroma Quartz stall at the event, on Saturday 5 or Sunday 6 December 2026, and show the confirmation message from Gander. Vouchers that are not collected at the event are void and cannot be claimed afterwards.

   The voucher can only be used at the event, with one trader, in one or more purchases. It has no cash value. Any unspent balance is lost and no change will be given. If a purchase costs more than the voucher, the winner pays the difference. Lost, stolen or copied vouchers will not be replaced.

   Gander will pay the trader the value of the voucher, so traders are not out of pocket.

9. If the event is cancelled

   If the event is cancelled for reasons outside our control, the prize is void. The voucher cannot be used at future Gander events and no alternative prize will be offered.

10. Buying from traders

    Anything bought with the voucher is a sale between the winner and the trader. The trader is responsible for the goods and the winner's statutory rights are not affected. Gander is not responsible for goods bought from traders.

11. Announcing the winner

    The winner's first name or social media handle may be announced on Gander's website and social media. If the winner would prefer not to be named, they should tell us when we contact them.

12. Social media

    This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, TikTok or Meta. You are giving your information to Gander and not to those platforms.

13. General

    Gander's decision on all matters is final and we will not enter into correspondence about it. Gander may change these terms or cancel the competition if circumstances outside its control require it, and any change will be published on this page.

    Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, Gander is not liable for any loss or damage arising from entering the competition or using the prize.

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
